What can you expect?
Mudita is a peaceful five day experience that brings together the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of yoga with the healing power of botanical herbs. During this retreat, you will be able to enjoy daily yoga classes, herbalism workshops, discover ayurvedic cuisine, outdoor activities, and plenty of time for self-reflection and relaxation. To top it off, we will close the retreat with an ecstatic dance experience that will leave you feeling energized and rejuvenated. Join us for a grounding stay
Alma Do Paço
Alma do Paço is located on an elusive hilltop overlooking the world renowned surfbreaks of the Ericeira world surfing reserve on one side and the lush countryside of Santo Isodoro Municipality on the other side. Set in a quiet outskirt of Ericeira, we are surrounded by the nature and wake up with the sound of the breaking waves when a good swell hits our shores. Yet we are located just a short drive away from Ericeira, a traditional Portuguese fishing village that has been catering for tourism for over eight centuries, but still always managed to maintain it’s original character, symbolised by it’s labyrinth of windswept alleys that whisper tales of sea faring adventures.
This retreat is designed to help people recharge and restore.
Visitors can enjoy the rejuvinating benefits of Ayurvedic food which is mostly vegetarian/vegan, providing ample energy throughout the day.
For each day you'll get breakfast, lunch and dinner
*Pleace let us know if you have any intolerances or allergies
For who is this retreat?
Mudita is a retreat for anyone who likes movement, mindfulness and nature. During the yoga classes we will learn more about the philosophy and the spiritual aspect of yoga. Our herbalism workshops offer a unique opportunity to dive into the world of healing herbs, learning different methods to manipulate them, use them, and harvest them in a safe and correct way. Our yoga classes are open to all levels, but basic knowledge of yoga is required. Total beginners are welcome, BUT won’t get the most out of the classes. It’s best you have been to group classes or have flowed with me in person or online before. If you’d like to practice with me, and get familiar with how I teach, you can find free yoga classes on my YouTube channel.
Yoga Asana Teacher
Sèlia Dos Santos
My name is Sèlia and I have been practicing yoga since 2015. In 2019, I traveled to India, the birthplace of yoga, to deepen my understanding of the yogic philosophy and the various asanas (yin, hatha, vinyasa, ashtanga). After returning to Belgium, I began teaching yoga and found that I learned a lot about myself and yoga through my students. Over time, I have perfected my teaching style and I'm stoked to share my knowledge with you during this retreat.
With over four years of experience in practicing and teaching yoga, I offer a unique experience combining my knowledge of the yogic philosophy and my years of practice. With my guidance, you will have the opportunity to explore and deepen your practice of yoga. With an emphasis on individual attention, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment for each student to achieve their own unique goals.
Lara De Taye
Hello everyone! My name is Lara, herbalist and fascinated by nature and its interaction with humans. It is with great pleasure that I can organize some workshops for the retreat in Portugal. Not just some workshops, but workshops where we focus on the power of herbs and rediscover what they all have to offer us. I hope to be able to introduce you to this fascinating world and to lay the foundation for nature through a different lens, namely: 'weed' does not exist at all! Together we make some herbal preparations that everyone will benefit from, both on and off the yoga mat. You will learn the practical side of processing herbs and once at home you will be able to get started yourself. In addition to processing, recognizing plants will certainly be discussed.
In short: a wide range of information that will never let you go (I hope). I'm really looking forward to it! With kind regards Lara
