Medicinal Herb

Ayurveda

To love and honor who we are

As a herbalist it is important for me to share how food can heal and prevent diseases. I've been plant based since 2015 now and never regretted it. I gained enough experience through my journey and feel safe and confident enough to share my thoughts, recipes, etc.. with you

What is Ayurveda?

Ayur = Life

Veda = Knowledge

The Ayurvedic route to great health involves 2 simple steps: Doing less & being more

Ayurveda teaches us to really tune into our body. It's about optimizing our internal and external health in order to have the best health as possible. The difference between Ayurveda and Western medicine is that Ayurveda is preventative and in Western medicine it's usually when you have the condition that we start treating it. Each person is different and will be treater differently according to your body type AKA Dosha.

अहिंसा

A H I M S A

Why Ahimsa or non - violence?

The practice of Ahimsa is a call to keep your own actions & reactions clear from any sort of violence. It is a conscious decision not to harm others on a physical or mental level.

This is also applicable on your plate. If you can recognize that animal derived food contains harm, karma loaded so not Ahimsa, then you put yourself on the same universal level as everything around you. Ahimsa is peace.

It's about being the same as life itself.

For me that's always been an important Niyama. Ahimsa is oneness.

Shadow on Concrete Wall

'To my mind, the life of a lamb is no less precious than that of a human being. I should be unwilling to take the life of a lamb for the sake of the human body.'

- Mahatma Gandhi
